Thank you for your interest in the Bakersfield Varicose Vein Center.  Dr. Marvin Derrick is a Board Certified Cardiovascular Surgeon who has been treating thoracic, cardiac and vascular disease in Bakersfield for the last 15 years.  Dr. Derrick is known throughout the State as a premiere Cardiothoracic Surgeon.  He has performed over 3,000 open heart surgeries here in Kern County.  The Bakersfield Varicose Vein Center under the direction of Dr. Marvin Derrick is now offering state of the art treatment for venous disease.  Many clinics only offer sclerotherapy but Bakersfield Varicose Vein Center offers all aspects in the treatment of venous disease including endovenous laser ablation, ambulatory mini-phlebectomy, laser therapy and surgical stripping.

Dr. Derrick has undergone one-on-one training with Dr. Ronald Bush of the Midwest Vein Center who is recognized as one of the world leaders in the treatment of venous disease.   He has also been trained in medical aesthetics and lasers by Daniel J. Leeman, M.D. (facial plastic surgeon), and Daniel Ladd, M.D. (cosmetic dermatologist) in Austin, Texas.
